As the menstrual phase starts we can often experience very low physical, mental and emotional energies.
Many girls thought it's fine to eat whatever you want during the happy week but it's wrong! Because of bleeding, our energy lose faster than normal days, body temperature decreases, feeling cold all the time, feeling tired easily....Therefore, we need to consume the correct food and nutrients or we WILL GAIN WEIGHT if we eat the wrong food!!!
During this week, we should avoid cold food and drinks, and consume food with more iron and fiber such as raisins, pork livers, sea weed, spinach, red prune, date, grapes. These are the food that can warm up the uterus and blood system can operate better inside body.
Also, let your body to have enough rest in this week, because happy week means detox week! Moreover, your body is more likely to experience floating so water consumption is needed to well controlled. Skin becomes oily so don't forget to wash your face in time! (To avoid pimples and acnes :p)
The happy week should avoid high intensity workout, try some gentle types such as yoga, walking, or maybe go shopping? ^^
~*The pre-ovulation phase
The Golden burning fat week(DAY 8-14)*~
The pre-ovulation phase is a time of high energy, activity and positive thinking. This is the best week to lose weight and we should well plan on this week!! This week you can experience a better absorption, better digestion and better metabolism :D ALSO A BETTER MOOD <3 By working out and managing weight control, YOU CAN LOSE WEIGHT EASILY. Due to faster metabolism and absorption for this week, we should avoid high calories and high fat content food. With the help of workout, we can lose at least 26% of weight already!!!!!
Food Control: less salt, less oil, NO SUGAR, high fiber, low calories. Eat more veges, tofu, ginger, milk, tomato, yogurt in this week!
Workout: Try high intensity workout at least 3 times in this golden week. Walk as much as you can! Sweat as much as you can!
Some tips for this week:
- Drink 2L water every day
- Do not sit after eating, stand up or do something else!
- Sleep at 11pm or before that. Because insufficient of rest can make you fat too ><
~*The ovulation phase
the silver week (DAY 15-21)*~
This is still a good week to lose weight compared to the Golden Week although the result is not as significant as last week. It is still need to bear in mind to eat more high fiber food such as veges, fruits, wholemeal, brown rice, oats and etc. Consume sufficient high fiber content food can increase Mg in blood so dirt can flush out of body easily. :D
~*THE pre-menstrual phase the slowing down week (DAY 22-28)*~
This is the week of the slowest effect in losing weight :( We still need to eat cleaner .V. At the same time, we should eat more meat, eggs, tofu... these high protein content food can compensate the nutrients we are about to lose during period.
Our body is more likely to float so we can consume red beans soup because they can flush the excess water away.
